Girl, She’s Gotta Have It!
Style and Beauty Watch: Teyana Taylor
I was tempted to start off this post with “If you don’t know who Teyana Taylor is by now, then google her” but figured that would be too obvious–although mentioning that I was going to mention it still counts as mentioning it, right?
Anyway, whether it’s blowing up the Super Sweet 16 scene or kicking it with Pharrell Williams, no one can deny Teyana’s fly girl status. What really works with Teyana’s look is that she takes elements from back in the 80s Salt N’ Pepa/MC Lyte era, but still keeps the look updated so that it doesn’t look like she’s wearing a costume. When it comes to makeup, a bright pink blush for cheeks, defined lashes, and sheer neutral lip gloss will do. Take a peak at some of Teyana’s looks and then keep scrolling to see how you can score a piece of her style:
Don’t You Dare
The beauty of makeup in the present day is that whether you’re Nicole Kidman or Alek Wek, you can find your shade of foundation. No need to go with something that’s too-light or the wrong undertone. That said, Don’t You Dare wear the wrong foundation shade! Sure, Lil Kim’s look below is more than likely the result of bad plastic surgery, but wearing the wrong foundation color (or texture) gives a similar effect.
